We have one of these, and it is clearly helpful within a reasonable distance. It should work with all carriers besides Nextel (we needed Dual-Band to cover both T-Mobile and Verizon). Went from losing a few calls per day to having a solid 3-5 bars throughout the day. While it is certainly a bit pricey just to get the monthly service that is already paid for, this is a good price, and if you really want to noticeably boost your cell's signal, this is the way to go.
